Home / Water removal
Westminster service guide
Westminster water removal is the first control—not the final answer.
Removing accessible water can reduce additional spread, but a complete plan also asks what soaked into materials, what migrated out of view, and what conditions remain after extraction.
What shapes the removal plan
Source and water type. A clean supply-line release is different from a drain backup or outdoor entry. Keep people and pets away from questionable water.
Materials and access. Carpet, pad, wood, tile assemblies, cabinets, drywall, insulation, and contents each hold or conceal moisture differently.
Connected spaces. Hallways, closets, rooms below, wall bases, and floor transitions can extend the practical work area.
Why “the puddle is gone” is not enough
Surface removal does not establish that the subfloor, underlayment, wall cavity, cabinet base, or adjacent room is ready for repair. Water removal should lead into moisture assessment and a defined drying strategy.
